OS3 MoveIT! is a utility application that allows system administrators to move files and folders between drives, domains, or networks, while retaining user and group-level ACL permissions. Built-in utilities include:
File and Folder Scanner
Scans folders and files for a designated source folder. Records user and group permissions, as well as file size, creation date, and modified date. Store to a portable XML Format. Does not require administrative permissions to read files or security.
File and Folder Selector
Provides the user with a tree view interface to allow the inclusion or exclusion of folders and files. File inclusion/exclusion lists may be saved and retrieved and iteratively developed over time.
File and Folder Copier
Copies selected folders and files to the destination location, using a selector list.
Security Mapper
Provides user with an interface for mapping users and groups from source location to destination location. Reads LDAP security information and allows you to map user to user, group to group or user to group in the destination.
Security Applier
Applies security mappings to files at destination location. (Must have full rights to directory tree to apply permissions)
